Enjoy a walk & talk in the historic Halfway House Garden hosted by the Heritage Gardeners. Discover the veges, flowers and fruit planted by early settlers living halfway along the road between Wellington and Porirua. Bring coins to buy heritage seeds and Moth & Butterfly cards.

Halfway House, Glenside Reserve, 246 Middleton Road, Glenside, Wellington 6037 Entrance north side of Twigland Gardeners World. On-site carparking for up to five vehicles. Please do not park on driveway.

Heritage Gardeners

The Heritage Gardeners are community volunteers. Our purpose is to develop the garden of the historic Halfway House at Glenside using plants and features that would have been typical in an 1840-1900 rural settlement to achieve a country look and feel.
