Historic sites walk from Maraenui/Seatoun to Miramar, Kilbirnie, & Hataitai

This walk at a gentle pace will pass many heritage sites in Seatoun, Miramar and Kilbirnie. The walk will end at the Crazy Rabbit Café in Hataitai.

Chris Horne, assisted by John Galloway, will lead this walk. They are both members of OHS and have co-led OHS Waitangi Weekend walks for several years. Chris has also led Wellington City Council walks as a contractor in the 1980s and has led Tararua Tramping Club walks in the city for a long time.

Health & Safety

Four-hour walk at a gentle pace - all on paved surfaces - reasonable fitness required.

Bring your medication, lunch, scroggin and clothing appropriate to the forecast; sun hat & sunscreen if required.

Leader & co-leader will carry first-aid kits.

Location
Catch no. 2 Seatoun bus in front of Supreme Court, Lambton Quay at 9.34 a.m. Alight at Seatoun terminus, Hector St, Or meet at No 2 Seatoun bus terminus, Hector St, Seatoun Park at approximately 10:20am. The walk will end near Haitaitai bus shelters for the No 2 and other buses to enable people to return to the start of the walk or go on.
