Shadow Windows Art Walk
Join artist Andrew Beck for a walk and talk through inner city Te Aro’s historic Swan Lane and Garrett Street.
Beck’s artwork 'Shadow Windows' is etched into the streetscape, offering glimpses into the site’s historic and social heritage landscapes – as Andrew says, “Shadow Windows are openings to the partial histories, memories, decay and structures that persist through city change. These artworks sit quietly and become a part of the texture we navigate as we move through the city.”
Health & Safety
The walk, really more of a wander, will take place on Garrett St and Swan Lane, and cross over Cuba St. There will be traffic and pedestrians on the road, and we’ll go over keeping safe at the start of the talk.
Please wear good shoes and dress for the weather. The tour may be cancelled in bad weather.
