Toi MAHARA Kāpiti Coast District Gallery Opening Festival Weekend

After two years of rebuilding, the gallery re-opens with museum-standard facilities to house and present the Field Collection which focuses on 24 artworks by significant expatriate artist Frances Hodgkins (1869-1947). It is the largest public collection of her work outside Te Papa Tongarewa and city collections in Dunedin, Auckland and Christchurch. Iwi taonga and toi Māori will also feature throughout the gallery programme.
