Tour Hannah Playhouse

Tour of the iconic Hannah Playhouse building.

The Hannah Playhouse is a heritage listed building constructed in 1973. For 49 years the Hannah was the home of Downstage Theatre Company. The building is now leased from the Hannah Playhouse Trust by Wellington City Council and operates as as a performance laboratory for a diverse range of artists and organisations in order to develop their professional performing arts practice and new works.

With a focus on mid and senior career artists, this unique 250-seater theatre is an ideal space for dedicated exploration, enabling deeper development of new works, as well as offering a flexible mid-scale presentation space for independent seasons.

Each tour will last approximately 30 mins
