Join the well-known researcher and genealogist to look up information for anyone wishing to research their family history at Golder Cottage.

Lynly Yates will be at Golder Cottage, 707 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt on Labour Day (October 25) and the following Saturday (October 30) from 1.30pm to 4pm both days, with her extensive database of Upper Hutt settlers.

We have a wheelchair ramp to enter the building if needed. Wheelchairs are not able to access the top storey.


No booking is required.

Golder Homestead Museum Society Incorporated

GHMS is a group tasked with making the historic pioneer Golder Cottage accessible to the people of the region and beyond. Golder Cottage is open to the public every Saturday of the year and on all public holidays (apart from Christmas Day and Good Friday) from 1.30pm-4pm. Entry fee is adults $5, students $3, children $2, and under fives free.
